HSQC Group Attends Annual Hands Across Canberra Charity Dinner 2025

The Annual Hands Across Canberra Charity Dinner 2025 was held on Wednesday, 29 October, bringing together leaders from across the Canberra community to support initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the lives of the city’s most vulnerable. Representing HSQC Group at this important event were Chief Executive Officer Stephen Caie, Successful Alliances Founder Karen Groves, and Practice Lead Katie Kirkland, who attended in support of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and community partnership.
The evening was attended by Her Excellency the Governor-General, whose presence underscored the importance of collective philanthropy and civic engagement in strengthening local communities. Guests were also inspired by keynote speaker Nic Marchesi OAM, 2016 Young Australian of the Year, 2020 Order of Australia recipient, and Co-Founder and Chief Delta Officer of Orange Sky, the world’s first free mobile laundry and shower service for people experiencing homelessness. Mr Marchesi’s address highlighted the power of innovation and compassion in driving sustainable social change.
Hands Across Canberra, established in 2013, is the ACT’s community foundation. It raises and invests funds to support more than 350 local charities and community organisations, granting over $1.5 million annually through partnerships such as the Canberra Foundations Collective and the Chief Minister’s Charitable Fund. The foundation plays a vital role in ensuring smaller, lesser-known charities have access to resources and capacity-building support, enabling them to continue their important work within the community.
HSQC Group is proud to have participated in this year’s event and to support the mission of Hands Across Canberra in building a stronger, more inclusive community. The dinner provided an opportunity to reflect on the collective impact that can be achieved when businesses, leaders, and community organisations work together towards a shared purpose creating lasting, positive change for the Canberra region.
