We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Tax Accountant to join our team in Albury, NSW. This role will focus primarily on preparing individual income tax returns in a high-volume environment, ensuring compliance with Australian taxation legislation and delivering excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and lodgement of individual income tax returns (high volume)
- Reviewing client information and identifying applicable deductions and offsets
- Ensuring compliance with Australian Taxation Office (ATO) requirements
- Liaising with clients to gather information and clarify queries
- Managing a portfolio of clients and meeting lodgement deadlines
- Providing basic tax advice within scope of experience
- Supporting the broader team during peak periods
Skills & Experience
- 2–4 years’ experience in Australian public practice (tax focus)
- Strong experience preparing individual tax returns independently
- Solid understanding of Australian tax legislation relevant to individuals
- Experience using tax software (e.g. Xero Tax, MYOB AE, HandiSoft or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or similar
- Progress towards or completion of CA / CPA (preferred but not essential)
