Hands Across Canberra

Hands Across Canberra is the ACT’s community foundation, established in 2010 to support the region’s most vulnerable people through strategic philanthropy and community partnerships. By raising and distributing funds to over 350 local charities, the organisation addresses critical needs across areas such as homelessness, food insecurity, mental health, and social inclusion.

Through initiatives like the Canberra Day Appeal and collaborations with partners such as the Chief Minister’s Charitable Fund, The Snow Foundation, and the John James Foundation, Hands Across Canberra has granted more than $6 million to local projects since its inception. These efforts are guided by a commitment to long-term impact, ensuring that donations are invested wisely and returned to the community through targeted grants and capacity-building support.

By connecting donors, businesses, and community organisations, Hands Across Canberra plays a pivotal role in building a more equitable and resilient Canberra for all.

Canberra Special Children’s Christmas Party

The Canberra Special Children’s Christmas Party is one of the region’s most heartwarming and anticipated annual events, dedicated to bringing joy to children with special needs, life-threatening illnesses, or disadvantaged circumstances. Hosted in partnership with local businesses, volunteers, and sponsors, the event offers a magical day filled with entertainment, food, rides, stage shows, and, of course, a visit from Santa Claus.

Each child receives a personalised gift and experiences a festive atmosphere designed to make them feel special, celebrated, and cared for. The party is part of a national initiative that has been running for over 25 years, touching the lives of thousands of families across Australia.

By supporting this event, organisations help create lasting memories for children and families who face daily challenges, demonstrating the power of community, generosity, and inclusion.

Have been using ITP for years now and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. They are always so helpful and book us in straight away. So helpful and explain everything in a way that you can understand. In the past have been so helpful with more complicated returns and also with simple returns. Thanks team at ITP you’re great!

Taylor J

Retail Worker

I have been with ITP for many years, in Batemans Bay, and now by phone to Canberra. I have always found them friendly and efficient. As I have aged having confidence in their service has become even more important. My online skills are not so sharp now but encouragement from them has given me reason to 'have a go' and succeed in getting needed documents to them. They take the tension out of the dreaded tax return!

Annie C

Elderly Client

I have been using Hussey and Hussey for many years to look after my business and personal financials. They are very helpful and reliable. I would recommend them to anyone.
