Spring has arrived and the tax season continues, bringing with it a busy and exciting September for HSQC Group. So far this month, we celebrated the launch of the HSQC Intranet, which will enhance collaboration across our group, and introduced our new SMSF Specialists to further support our clients and team of accountants at HSQC.
We are also delighted to welcome Emily Pemberton as the new Practice Lead at Critique. Emily is an accounting professional and registered BAS agent with over 25 years of experience in both chartered and commercial environments. Most recently, she served as Finance Manager at the ACT Brumbies. Her management and accounting expertise will play a valuable role in supporting the growth of HSQC Group.
Last week we also farewelled our HSQC Philippines team—Aaron, Dianne, Eric, Zen, and Misti—who returned home this week after spending three months working closely with our Australian offices. During their visit, they collaborated across ITP Goulburn, ITP Wagga, ITP Parkes, and Critique, gaining insights and strengthening cultural and professional ties. Before their return, they enjoyed a weekend in Sydney with the HSQC Group CEO Stephen Caie.
Reflecting on their time in Australia, Stephen expressed his gratitude for the team’s contribution, noting the cultural and professional growth fostered by their visit. He remarks, "that it has been an amazing journey both in development, understanding and learning." Representing the Philippines team, Zen shared appreciation for the opportunity, describing the trip as “an absolutely incredible experience” that was both professionally enriching and personally meaningful. "Seeing our work up close in a different environment has given us fresh perspective — from connecting with the consultants and accountants, to learning new approaches that we can bring back to home."
